Where it started
Built to make a night with friends more fun.
Hidden Cask started as a personal project by WebGeeze: a simple way for a group of friends to taste and score whiskies together, but with the game run through an interactive digital experience rather than paper scorecards.
The idea was straightforward—hide the labels, trust the senses and let the final reveal challenge everyone’s expectations. The conversation around the table was always more important than drinking to excess.
Two years of evolution
From a simple game to a lasting whisky record.
Over two years, the original game setup has developed into something much more capable. Hidden Cask can now bring together scores from numerous players across different games and over time.
Instead of treating every tasting as an isolated result, the platform builds a truer picture of how people respond to different whiskies—while still respecting that taste is personal and every player has their own preferences.

When a player adds their email, their game participation, scores and tasting statistics can be connected securely to their profile and made available for them to view later.
Why ask for email?
Identity, not advertising.
There is zero planned marketing and no hidden purpose behind collecting an email address. Hidden Cask does not operate a promotional mailing list.
For a player profile, the only details requested are a player name—which can be real or made up—and an email address. Email gives that chosen name a dependable point of reference, allowing the right person to return securely to their games, scores and catalogue.
Playing the game naturally creates records such as bottle selections, scores, connected players and results. Limited technical and security information may also be processed to operate and protect the service. Full details are available in the Privacy Policy.
Free to play
Made for whisky friends everywhere.
WebGeeze does not want to charge people simply to enjoy Hidden Cask with their friends. The plan is to keep a free way to play available to whisky groups around the world.
A paid plan is expected later, bringing new features and introducing a limit on the number of players available through the free plan. The aim is to support the platform’s future without losing the generous spirit in which it began.
