1. About these terms
These terms apply when you access or use Hidden Cask. By using the service, you agree to follow them. If you do not agree, please do not use Hidden Cask.
2. Legal drinking age and responsible use
You must be of legal drinking age in your location to participate in a whisky tasting. Hidden Cask is about conversation, discovery and thoughtful tasting—not drinking more.
- Never pressure another person to drink or finish a sample.
- Provide water, food and alcohol-free alternatives.
- Do not drink and drive or operate machinery after drinking.
- Stop drinking if you feel unwell and follow relevant health advice.
3. What Hidden Cask provides
Hidden Cask provides tools for organising blind tasting games, recording scores and notes, revealing results and maintaining personal game and bottle histories. Hidden Cask does not sell or supply alcohol.
4. Host responsibilities
The person hosting a game is responsible for running the event safely, checking that participants are of legal drinking age, controlling sample sizes, protecting blind bottle identities and ensuring that nobody is encouraged to drink irresponsibly.
5. Profiles and access codes
You must provide accurate profile information and keep verification codes, private game links and profile access links secure. You are responsible for activity carried out using access provided to you. Tell us promptly if you believe access has been compromised.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse Hidden Cask, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, automate abusive requests, upload unlawful or harmful content, impersonate another person, or use the service in a way that harms other players.
7. Bottle information and results
Bottle descriptions, prices, images, classifications and other catalogue information may be incomplete, approximate or supplied by third parties. Tasting scores and preferences are subjective. Hidden Cask content is for entertainment and general information, not medical, health or professional advice.
8. Availability and changes
Hidden Cask is a developing personal project. Features may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn. We may correct errors, remove inappropriate content, suspend abusive access or update these terms when reasonably necessary.
9. Intellectual property
The Hidden Cask name, branding, game design, interface and original content belong to their respective owner. You may use the service for personal, non-commercial tasting games, but may not copy, resell or present the service as your own without permission.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hidden Cask is not responsible for losses caused by unsafe alcohol consumption, reliance on catalogue information, unauthorised sharing of private access, temporary unavailability, or circumstances outside reasonable control.
